Marc Boothe is an independent producer and founder of B3 Media, a successful media arts agency which has been responsible for a number of innovative initiatives ranging from new media to digital cinema.

Maida Vale Studios

BBC Maida Vale Studios is a place I shoot quite often. I have to say they have done a great job with the new seating layout.

The seats really make the place look even bigger and when full Studio 1 really comes alive.

Great for audience participation.

This shot was proceeded in Lightroom 4 which does a truly amazing job of correcting the balance when shooting at high ISO. There is something awesome about LR4 that makes images even sharper and crisper without using too much ....sharpening.

Olympic Ball

Just a quick post about The schools Olympic Ball. They made me be official photographer...that's if they did not like the pictures. They did like the pictures so of course I volunteered and gave my time freely.

 I set up a private page using the really useful Zenfolio site where ball goers could buy prints and downloads. I also offered all the proceeds from the sales to the school too!

Lots of sales so far..........................

PS: Hermann the sour dough cake is doing well and has been baked by my daughter who did all the fluid ounce (American cups) measuring and we are now making one for my son. It takes 10 days to prepare it for cooking.

Product Photography & Sausage Smells

A very busy week.....continues with some product photography for Evape. Electronic cigarettes!

Blended logos and white balance with levels all the rage!

 The children have been very busy this week also making a "sausage" smell from herbs in the garden.

They put Chives and Rosemary in a pot covered it and asked me to smell it with my eyes closed. I thought they had put slugs or frogs in it so I refused at first then my sons toothless grin got the better of me and I smelt.

They were right it was just like sausages and no slugs or frogs, however I have obviously just given them ideas for their next surprise.

I forgot to mention that with Evape  you can smoke sausage flavoured cigarettes....well almost.

A very busy week.....2 parties, a gig, a product photography session, a wedding album and a sour dough cake called Herman.

Wedding Album

The children have continued with being ever-so- helpful phase, getting dressed for school (super early so they can play), Doing homework without being asked, practicing instruments without being asked an earning numerous "house points".

 My beautiful wife also worked from home today so i was able to complete a Jorgensen Wedding Album. The JAD software is both a joy and a pain, I think it is time for a workflow make over.

So many double checks to make, which is good, but no of it intuitive.

Band of Skulls

What a great treat to photograph this band. They have been steadily growing a reputation in the USA and then as support for the Black Keys on their UK tour. This Southampton formed trio, they are British, have a very American look even if their sound is a mix of early Nivarna and very early Queen in terms of song structure. Their live songs are solid and violent and  knocks socks of the record .
